Back to IKEA DublinPublished 14/11/2011 Following our successful installation and commissioning of the smoke ventilation system on the original store - ADS were awarded the contract for the extension of the warehouse area... Due to the success of the original store, IKEA have had to extend the warehouse area to meet the increased demand. ADS have helped with the design of the smoke ventilation system and how it is to integrate into the current system. ADS installed roof mounted louvred ventilators with polycarbonate blades to allow light into the building and low level wall mounted louvred ventilators to provide replacement inlet air. The warehouse is split into two smoke reservoirs using a fixed smoke curtain that is fixed back to the roof steelwork. Our control system comprises of local control panels to the head of two emergeny stair cases and one control panel to operate the warehouse area. The whole system was then linked back to the main control panel where modifications were made to the mimic panel. Please find below some installation photos from the recent commissioning of the system... We look forward to our ongoing work with our clients and IKEA once again! |
