The Gate
    ADS were appointed to supply and install the smoke ventilation system required to 'The Gate' in Newcastle. The Gate is a large multi-use facility in the city centre, and ADS provided a full smoke control solution. Numerous louvred ventilators and fans were installed to the roof level to extract smoke from the atrium, car parks and the cinema areas. Wall mounted 'manually operated' dampers were also installed at the base and electrically operated ventilators at the head of the emergency staircases. All of the ventilation equipment is controlled by numerous local control panels and linked back to a master control panel and fireman's override facility. ADS also supplied and installed a decrative Brise Soleil system to the Stowell Street elevation along with architectual louvres to the plant rooms. |
