Brindley House
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Brindley House is located next to the unmissable BT Tower in Birmingham city centre. The distinct 14 storey building completed in 1967 straddles over the Fazeley canal and used to be the telephone exchange. Once decommissioned the building has been given a new lease of life with a total refurbishment into accommodation units, retail units and an additional 2 storeys have been added for penthouse apartments. ADS installed 2 No. 95mm pitch 50m high louvres (one 9.0m wide and one 2.0m wide) to cover the existing pre-cast concrete panels and window areas - a 75mm pitch louvre screen at low level was also installed. Due to the condition of the concrete we had to use resin anchors to provide a strong enough fixing back to the structure. The louvre was split into panels creating a distinct feature to show the separate floor levels in the building. Similar Projects |
