Eldon Square
    At Eldon Square shopping centre in Newcastle, ADS have been involved with the design of the new mall areas and refurbishment works from early in the project. We supplied and installed continuous louvre systems including 50 & 75mm pitch plant screens and a facetted louvre system to schemes 1 & 2. On scheme 1A we installed an aerofoil screen including a single and double louvred door set (pictured) which is the first of its kind in the UK. This design was used for both aesthetic and functional purposes. The 125mm aerofoil blades were set at 75mm pitch for a ‘solid’ appearance; the inactive areas were blanked off using insulated blanking plates whilst the active areas had a standard 75mm pitch louvre to the rear to provide a weathered opening. We also used a 360mm pitch vertical aerofoil louvre blade to screen a loading area from the new bus concourse. |
