The company was first registered in 1993, starting from very humble beginnings; ADS Ltd has consistently grown through the years culminating in proven partnerships with our clients resulting with installations on some of the most prestigious projects nationwide. ADS has adapted throughout the years in all aspects of the ever changing construction environment.

The principal director has operated successfully within the industrial and commercial design field with major international companies since 1979. This expertise along with our vastly experienced working team has resulted in ADS Ltd being at the forefront of the design and installation of Ventilation Systems.

ADS have successfully worked with Architects, Consultants, Main Construction Contractors, Mechanical & Electrical Contractors, Glazing/Curtain wall and cladding contractors as well as the ‘end user’ market. Throughout the years ADS Ltd has built up strong partnerships and purchasing agreements with leading manufacturers of ventilation equipment within Europe. This supply Chain management has allowed ADS to value engineer projects to suit the client’s requirements whilst maintaining our high standards of installation.

From the original enquiry through to the end of the project (and beyond), ADS prides our company philosophy of providing a full turn-key service. We offer consultants, architects and main contractors together with end users a service from early in the design phases of a project.
This is achieved by recommendations, innovative ideas and specifications through to on site installations and service/maintenance of our equipment.

Our History

  1. 1993

    Following success at major Smoke Ventilation companies, Alan Clare formed ADS on the 28th June 1993 by and received our first order for £706.00 from Fenland Laundries.

  2. 1994

    ADS employ in house project engineers and invest in AutoCAD line 13 & workstations, an investment worth over £20K.

  3. 1995

    ADS make a short move across the courtyard from 5 Kingsway House to 25 Kingsway House to create more space.

  4. 1995

    ADS marketing includes first brochure with ADS branding and Consett Juniors football strips.

  5. 1995

    Key Project, Siemens North Tyneside for Hathaway Roofing & Sir Robert McAlpine - £380K for the architectural louvres package.

  6. 1998

    ADS make another short move across Kingsway House to number 27. This would be our base for the next 16 years.

  7. 1998

  8. 1999

    ADS employ our first installation team to give us more control of our resources on site. We now have 7 directly employed teams and sub-contract teams to call upon if required.

  9. 2004

    New Central server installed to support full new IT infrastructure. New domain name www.adslimited.net and e-mails set up.

  10. 2005

    Alan Clare’s son Adam Clare joined ADS to work in the Sales & Estimating team.

  11. 2005

    Key Project, IKEA Distribution Centre for Shepherd Construction - £350K Smoke Ventilation system.

  12. 2006

    ADS website launch and re-brand

  13. 2008

    Key Project, IKEA Dublin for RG Group - £380K Smoke Ventilation system. We also returned the following year to complete an extension to the scheme.

    Key Project, ExCEL Phase 2 for Hathaway Roofing & Sir Robert McAlpine - £450K architectural louvres & Smoke Ventilators.

    ADS employ Lloyds Law LLP as our H&S consultants and also complete CHAS, Constructionline and Achilles Assessments to demonstrate our commitment to Health & Safety throughout the company.

    Key Project, London 2012 International Broadcasting Centre, Media Centre and Aquatics Centre - £600K Smoke Ventilation systems.

    ADS start using Social Media to update our followers

    Investment in a new Fleet of ADS vans.

  22. 2016

    Key Project, HMP North Wales for Crown House - £800K Smoke Ventilation system.

  23. 2017

    Implementation of Eque2 for fully integrated contracts management and Sage integration.

  24. 2017

    After 23 years with ADS, Karen Tanriverdi retires.

  25. 2018

    ADS are celebrating our 25th year in business and we plan for Alan Clare’s retirement after seeing ADS through a very successful 25 years. Adam Clare made to MD and take ADS through the next 25 years…
